Doreen Scow is Kwakwaka'wakw specifically the Tlowitsis, 'Namgis and Musgamagw Dzawada'enux tribes from the Northwest Coast of "BC". She is an undergraduate student at York University, the Vice President of the Indigenous Students Association, and she's a performer. She grew up in a cultural dance group the "Urban Kwakwaka'wakw Society", is a young knowledge keeper and cultural teacher. For the last 4 years she's taught countless amounts of students from kindergarten all the way to grade 12 various workshops such as, beading, drumming and singing, as well as cooking. Her main goal in life is to become a fluent Kwak'wala speaker and be able to teach the next generation!
